Jons PMR #1 - Complete
« on: August 17, 2017, 10:37:37 PM »
I finally finished my PMR #1.  It only took me 6 months after it first ran to take it apart, polish, prep & paint, reassemble, and get it running the way I wanted again.  I eventually plan to display it with a boiler and have it power something so I built a small base that can be incorporated into a larger model.  I decided to make the base from some old oak that I saved from a barn being torn down here in the mountains.

Nice looking engine Jon.  I like the base.  It is very different looking; it makes your engine standout.

Perry,
I have no idea as yet.  I picked up a PMR dynamo kit at Cabin Fever in January but I don't think the scale will look right.  Right now I'm working on a Duclos odds n ends hit n miss engine so I don't know when I'll get back to the #1.  Judging by the forum threads, I'm not the only one who jumps around to various projects

Super smooth action Jon, running on 2psi proves good fit between mating valve & chest faces, piston fit etc. Well done. My S50 will be appearing on here soon, have it running on 4 psi.
