Nice looking machines Dave!
Did you get the full enclosure for the mill?

No I didn't   We'll be cutting very small plastic parts mostly.   and I wanted to spend the 1500 on something else, so no flood coolant either....I may live to regret that...but then again....we can add it later

Until I set up the flood cooling on my machine I used a Micro Drop oiler and it worked pretty well.  I was machining mostly aluminum and plastic, though a good amount of SS as well.
I still use the Micro Drop on the manual mills and the lathes but use flood on everything on the 1100.

I discussed the application with Tormach, and they said the mist lube system should be more than sufficient for plastic, which will be most of what we work....Everything else gets lubed the old fashioned way I guess.

Even cutting plastic you'll probably get escapees on the floor.   Some shields on each end of the table will help.

For test runs of programs when I was in collage learning CNC we used Styrofoam, a lot easier on the tools and nerves with a new program especially a CAM one where you did not do the g code. Another place where we did control panels out of aluminum or steel we used Plexiglas, you could put the test peace over the drawing and major mistakes jumped out at you.

Well she's been running for 2 days now, I cut my first "part" yesterday.   Today I spent the day trying to get CAM proficient....it took all day to do some things that now I can do in about 15 minutes...but that's the learning curve isn't it?

I have some plans to cut real parts Thursday...still waiting on some tooling, and indicators ect.   This place only had a drill press and a fist full of worn out drills.....pitiful.
