Since loco's are allowed I thought you might like to see my 'Unfinished Symphony'. One day...

Walschearts Valve gear more or less to scale.

Cab with (will be) working steam brakes and poppet valve regulator. Everything you can see with the exception of the pressure gauge was home made.

My home made boiler didn't make it into the loco! Cracked up on the final heat. This is the commercial TIG welded one!

Beautiful Loco, well done. Now all you have to do is complete it as a build here on MEM.

That is amazing!  And you said it was 3/4"?  That is just beautiful John, thanks for sharing it.  And yes, you should start a build log on your loco here! :)

Where'd you get the plans for this engine?

Thanks,
Kim

Hello simplyloco,

Absolutely beautiful, beautiful and beautiful......however it is now obvious why it has taken so long to complete this project.....how many of those less than half full glasses of beer have been involved  :DrinkPint: :lolb:

Thanks for sharing and have a great day,

Trueley brilliant, lovely attention to detail. Will you be putting a fire in it?

No, the only fire that this will know about is the one below the mantelpiece!

I hope you have a large and strong Mantelpiece  ;) I have been having similar thoughts about the 7 1/4" Locomotion (Mobile Beam Engine) that is on my build list.

New year's resolution to finish it?   :stickpoke: Then we could encourage you to make model engines instead of Locos: most are cheaper & quicker to build, easier to move around and just as challenging to build  8)
