A last couple of little bits (Spring steel points arm and ratchet arm for the carb) and we have a prop ready engine  :whoohoo:

The hub is rather large and I don't have any props that will fit   :-\

In the meantime I saw another set of castings on the dining room table  :naughty: :pinkelephant:

Hi Jo

He's a handsome little chap   and such a quiet runner    :naughty:

( The medics have decided all the bits of my knee are probably somewhere near where they ought to be and it should improve over the next couple of weeks.
Took the opportunity to send the Fozzy off for a makeover while I was having one . All waxed and shiny, cleaned the alloys and now smells all flowery and poncy inside. No crappy steaks on the glass either. For what it costs might just as well let them do it.  )

Have fun,

Dave

Almost there  :) I do think that you should use a flywheel and electric starter for the first runs. ETW recommended this in the road roller build.
Best regards

Roger

Thanks Guys  :) I do like these old engine designs they have that lovely casting feel about them  ;D

Roger: Pete and I discussed this on Thursday (when I was in the office  :paranoia: ) With a Prop the load on the engine goes up as the engine revs faster, flywheels do not have the same effect and they also do not provide the necessary cooling draft.

No crappy steaks on the glass either.

I always worry about what you guys up north consider to be 'good' food :headscratch: and now I am concerned with what you do with it..... I serve mine rare on a plate with chips, mushrooms and a nice bottle of  :wine1:

Jo

P.S. All this going back in the office is not good for me  :ShakeHead:

OK then   ... STREAKS  ...  ;D

I'll have the chips and mushrooms. You can keep the other two ...
Why do you want a plate with rare steak anyway ??  Just find a field of cows and take a bite out of one ...  :stir:

Don't go in the office. Tell 'em your Faith forbids it. Seems to work for most things now.  :headscratch:

Dave

PS   Or tell 'em you're allergic to it. Allergies are very popular now it seems ..  :)
