Croft Mill Engine
« on: July 14, 2017, 11:31:20 PM »
A fellow member of our model engineering club is parting with his models due to health issues, I went to see him today and this followed me home. The flywheel is 7" diameter to give an idea of scale.

David demonstrated it on air for me, it is running the wrong way at the moment so I need to see if I can move the eccentric to reverse it.

I think that's because you are running it on air, what you need to do is blast it with some oily steam from a dirty old coal fired boiler.  ;D

Indeed I am.

It's not a proper steam engine till it's had steam in it and it is covered in coal and oil  ;D

It wouldn't do me any good to be interested, it's on the wrong side of the pond.
