Having gone through the long recovery process a bunch of times in the last 8 years I have a suggestion.  Put a model kit in plain site for when you get home as an incentive.  I spent a few months sitting in a recliner with a model kit on a shelf directly in front of me.  It not only gave me incentive to do what was necessary to get to it, it also gave me time to plan how to attack it.
Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Jo,
I hope everything goes well. The only recovery I did was from a busted wrist & shoulder and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hope you're back in the shop fondling castings soon.

Thanks Guys, not long now before we are off

John I thought about that and have a couple of my casting sets sitting on a trestle table waiting for my return  :naughty:.

Thought that the stuff on that table was what you had put out to go in your bag to take into hospital... just the pyjamas and toothbrush to go on the top of the pile..!
Very best wishes for your recovery and well being, David

Good luck Jo. Hope all goes well. I'm sure you'll be a "model" patient. (Sorry, couldn't resist that!)

Hi Every One,

I have just had Jo's Mum on the phone and it is all over, Jo is now in the recovery ward and sleeping,
she was a bit late going into surgery, went in at 3.00 just came out at 6.00 this evening,
so as Jo would say the Elephant has left the room, for good.

More news as I get it.
