I put 2 of those digital scales on my Prazimat about 6 months ago
. Having put glass scales and DROs on my 2 mills I wanted to know if the investment was worth it on the lathe. It lasted about 2 months before I took them off again. Whilst you get digital measurement they were not that easy to read and you did not gain the added functionality of the "real" DROs.
I have not yet decided what to do with them or if I should invest in a set of glass scales/DRO for the lathe. In the meantime I have put my long reach dial gauges back on the lathe

If you want digital measurement they give you that. The accuracy will depend on the rigidity of the mounts.
