simat 101 collets chucks
« on: June 15, 2017, 12:43:14 PM »
Hi all having now got various parts required to get my Simat 101 up and running
a 1/4 hp motor    and am getting a variable frequency drive

I have a couple of questions.
1 the Simat has a short 0 mt taper  does any one make a collet holder and chucks  in this size?
2 has any one converted the skew drive cross feed  to a gear feed so it can cut threads?
3  I have a 4 jaw chuck i think its a 1/2 inch thread  does any one know of who sells a 3 jaw chuck ?

sorry   and you will get  many more questions moving forward
Nigel

The tailstock on a Sherline lathe is also short mt0, you may want to see what they have that would fit.
