Here's my Elbow engine a made a while ago as well. I only have assembled photo's of this engine, so here it goes.

Very nice! I've always been fascinated by the elbow engine. When I began this model engine thing, I realized that it was beyond my capabilities. I might be able to pull it off now if it weren't for the 10 other projects ahead of it.

My first motor was the elbow  engine from "Popular Mechanics", I never did get it going, it's sitting on a shelf somewhere, and like Stan, if I were to build it today I'm sure it would be no trouble.
