Electric motor or compressor air driven?
Wadda you mean, "It don't run"???

It is a solenoid motor.
Did you see the video? Flip of the switch, and it's off and running!

Interesting take on a solenoid engine - nicely camouflaged as an IC engine - good looking and a fine runner  :praise2:

That is a really nice motor.  I don't suppose you have any pictures of the build process?

Thanks Sid, I did. Can't see the drive though under the switch....but I do see a pair of tubes running up from the base to the cylinders so maybe air driven a possibility. Looks good in black.

The stainless tubes to each head carries a ground wire to the solenoid. I was having some resistance issues from the aluminum and black anodize, even thought I removed the anodizing under the fasteners. The tubes look functional, like an oil line.
I did take some photos of the parts along the way, but not really any of setups.
Is there anything is specific you would like to see?

Hi.

Lovely thing, you built.
Very clean, i think, and black suits perfectly the monster.

2 stroke engine ?
It runs on 12VDC ?
What kind of solenoid ?

If there is more informations, pictures, details or even another video, please show... :LickLips:

Very interested cause i'm just about to turn on my own solenoid V-twin for the first time.

The solenoids are from Guardian electric T12x19 24v 1.0 stroke/24v.

I have two LiPo 14.2v batteries in the base.
It pulls up on the rod every revolution, so I guess that makes it a two stroke.
What other video would you like to see of it?

Any pics of your engine?

Thank you.

Yes, one pull every revolution is a 2 stroke engine signature, to me.
Maybe you took some pictures of what is behind side plates or under cam cover during the assembly step.

Pics & video of mine very soon. Tomorrow, i think. I'm working on now. The "thing" did its first turn yesterday. I was like a child on Xmass. :cartwheel:

nice and original engine, well done !
How did you set the cams ? And what are the 2 steel rods opposite the pushrods ?

There is only the one cam. It's set to actuate the micro switch to close just a few degrees from bottom dead center, to pull the piston up.
It opens the micro just before TDC.

The two "rods" are stainless tubes that bring the ground wire from the solenoid to the base where the batteries are housed.
