So many days with no food?

Yesterday and today made sushi for dw's birthday. Fresh Spanish tuna, salmon, spicy tuna handrolls, etc.

I'm not a sushi person. Daughters love it though.

Here's today's...

Irish Tacos.

Yep. That's what they were called. But more like a wrap or burrito.

Corned beef.
Cole Slaw with sriracha sauce. Recipe didn't call for onions which T thought was crazy. So onions added.
Home grown and home canned jalapeno.

That helped clear the nose for a while.

She limited me to two!  :cussing:

That sounds and looks good Zee. Looks like there is enough corned beef and slaw left for a midnight  snack perhaps after she goes to bed :)

There is a restaurant in Portland Maine called Duckfat and they make the BEST french fries, hand cut and fried in...duck fat.
We always say we will be good and split a small order, never works.

Seems to me that if you're going to drive from MA to Maine you'd be silly to split a small order!!

Whenever I head up to Maine, seafood is at the top of the priority list. In Wells, Billy's Chowder House is wonderful for dinner, and in Kennebunkport, the Clam Shack is awesome for lunch. Just a little shack overhanging the river, takeout only, Space to eat along the railing next to it, but best fried Haddock chunks around.

Yum!

It's always interesting to hear what's available for seafood in different areas. We don't have Haddock out here. Our fish and chips are made out of Ling Cod, Sea Bass, Halibut, Sturgeon, and Albacore Tuna. For Salmon we have Chinook and Coho. Makes me hungry for seafood...........glad we're having fried Oysters for dinner tonight!  :LickLips:
