Steve,

I can see the lever operated slide would be good for batch production work (it has some features for setting up stops to limit the travel) but looks for the sort of stuff I do it would take longer to set up than to complete the job with the standard setup.  The collets have been a bit of a revelation - I've only ever used ER before and whilst they have a limited clamping range, the speed and ease with which you can swap collets and clamp and release the work piece is a new world.

Bob - Thanks it was a bit of a punt as was bought sight unseen but I am well pleased with it - every clamp and slide has a slick quality feel to it.
