May i introduce myself ?
« on: January 29, 2017, 09:42:15 AM »
Hello to everyone !

I just joined this forum after a while of reading. I came from Germany and beside of other hobbies i love to build and construct model engines.
I managed to get 41 years old so far and deal with model engine building since the age of around 20.

Because of the need to earn money and one other time intense hobby the amount of time i spent into model engine building is floating.
My father was building little steam engines and this causes my interest on this challenging but also relaxing hobby.

I joined this forum because there is much inspiration and information in it and hopefully i can give a little of it back.

So far  i have developed and build flame eater engines, a few oscilating multi cylinder steam engines but i am most excited in building internal combustion engines. The latest finished engines are a four cylinder four stroke engine ( 54 ccm displacement ) and a one cylinder hit and miss engine.

The engines can be seen on my youtube channel " Motorenmann " except of the four cylinder.

My latest project i just started will be a four cylinder scale engine made with my own castings, maybe a good issue to start a new topic ?

Best regards,
Thomas

Hello and thank you for your friendly welcome !

I live in a small town near Würzburg which is located in the north of Bavaria.

It is more or less exactly in the middle from Germany.

Best regards,
Thomas.

Thomas,
Welcome to MEM. It looks like you are already a very accomplished engine builder. More information on the four cylinder would be nice.
