Jons PMR #1
« on: December 29, 2016, 07:21:35 PM »
I am trying to post a video of my just completed PMR #1 in operation.  This is my first engine and video so please bear with me.  The engine is shown still on the tooling plate that I used as I have yet to build a display stand and paint the engine.  I would appreciate any and all comments.

Jon

Jon, that is a very nice result. Running that smoothly on 2 psi shows a well built engine!!  Below are a couple of pictures of the base I made for mine.  So what is your next project?

Bill

Edit: I like your test bench layout also !!

Bill,

My wife gave me the littlelocos P&W horizontal kit for Christmas so I guess that's the next engine.  By the way, I went over your PMR #1 thread at least 10 times when building this kit.  It was a great help.  I am now researching airbrush paints to paint my engine and may need some help with that.

Nice work Jon..! The flywheel runs nice and true and at 2 psi, you couldn't ask for more. Any under construction pix to share? Look forward to you documenting your next build. Paul

That's a really nice running engine, Jon!

Bill, I love the finish work you did on yours.

I got started on my P & W Horizontal a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying the build.

When you get a chance, I'd be great to see some shop pictures and hear about what lathe and mill you're using.

Nice work Jon.  If it's ticking over with 2psi than I guess your tolerances are spot on.
