The reversing lever really looks the business, Rich. And the firebox smokebox door is very nice too!
Great progress!

Hi

Thanks Kim

Just so there is no confusion its the smokebox door, the firebox door is at the rear end and hasn't been fitted yet

Cheers

Rich

Hi

Thanks Terry, Carl and Kim

Not a lot to report at the moment.

One thing I have done is to modify the top water gauge connection.

The bush in the boiler is at about the right position for the water level but when the water level gauge is fitted the top of the glass tube is too low to give a reading

So I have made a new top fitting which when fitted with a longer glass tube should be better. It meant a longer adapter in the bottom bush was also needed.

Because it now sticks out a little further, which is not a problem it isn't in the way, I am making a glass protector from some brass

Cheers

Interesting workaround there for the sight glass.  Hopefully it will be long enough now!
The glass protector seems like a good idea too.

Hate to ask Rich, but does the regulator handle clear the new water glass position if swung to the left?  Hope so. Looking good!

Hi

A little bit of ball turning

Followed by progressively finer emery paper and then the buffing wheel

Hi

Thanks Carl and Kim

Workshop time is a bit short at the moment so I am just amusing myself with small jobs.

A new longer gauge glass fitted and the brass glass protector fitted. I had to shorten the regulator handle a little to clear the new top connector

The cab I have made as quick release, these are the 4 wing nuts that hold it in place

One of the cab rear supports being fitted

Cheers

Rich
