AL-320G Ways Wipers
« on: December 27, 2016, 07:55:47 AM »
After recently getting my 3d Printer set up again as a result of my son expressing interest in mucking about with it over the summer holidays I thought, "Heck I can make some printed ways wipers for the lathe".  Strictly speaking I don't need them, but I have a 3d printer burning a hole in my pocket and a solution looking for a problem.    :noidea:

So some initial tinkering and modelling in Fusion 360 we had an initial design (pic #1)
Then we got to something that looks workable (pic #2)
Then added in some felt and clamps to hold the felt on and we have passable wipers.  (pic #3).

Cheers,
James.
