Hello all,
I have been doing basic machining with a lathe and mill for a number of years now as a hobby. I started out making primarily aluminum rocket engine parts to fly with a local rocketry club. Since have left that hobby (too stressful!) and moved on to kitchen cutlery. Now I have become intrigued with the engines you all are making and am preparing to get started as a means to improve the accuracy of my work. I am getting some materials together to begin building a 2 stroke IC engine. I have already learned a lot from browsing the site, and look forward to participating in discussions as I learn more.

I grew up in N.Y. near Sidney, and still have family scattered about the state. Where are you located?
