Peter,

This looks great! Most of my parts are made. Thanks for the wooden base suggestion. I have been "racking my brain" on how to do this for a temporary test - really very simple.

Thanks Larry,

At the moment it's in pieces while I'm painting it and adding a few cosmetic details, I'm just hoping it all goes back together ok  :)

Peter

You had better get your finger out an finish it off. Mike has just confirmed to me that you will be allowed to steam it on 4th June. NO boiler test is required.

Thanks guys.

It is pretty much finished now Phil, I'm just at the stage of adding gaskets and reassembling etc. All the cutting of metal etc is finished so it's really just cosmetic stuff to do now.

Hi all,

I've had a little break from this engine while doing other things but have now got it largely painted and with gaskets fitted I've been able to give it a first run on air.

The timing isn't yet fully tuned and its not screwed down but I couldn't resist showing it come to life  :)

I'll make a proper video in a week or so once I've fully tuned it set it up with plumbing and a finished base.

Peter.

Thanks guys :-)

I've had a little play around with it since making the video and managed to get it running very slowly (and a lot faster) so I'm happy with how it's turned out.

My intention is to run it on steam occasionally so I'll add some plumbing and a few cosmetic details over the next few days.

Don't forget to keep it under your bed at night. After all, it is a little potty... :toilet_claw:
