Greetings,
I'm in the process of drawing up the plans for a scale model Tug Boat. The original Tug Boat was built for my grandparents back in 1921, and was operated by them until 1945, operating mostly as a Gravel Barge Pusher on the Brisbane River in Australia. The original boat was powered by a single cylinder 60 HP Mercedes Semi-Diesel Hot Bulb Engine. So far, I've built two Hit & Miss Engines so far, and I'd like to make my next model engine build a Hot Bulb Semi-Diesel Engine. The Semi-Diesel and Diesel Model Engines built by Find Hansen
https://www.youtube.com/user/boksermotor/videos have a big attraction for me, so I'd like to make my next model engine build a Marine Semi-Diesel.
What I'm trying to do at the moment is to find plans (and ideally castings, but that is probably a very big ask) for a single cylinder Marine Hot Bulb Model Engine. The physical size of the model engine is not very important, as I plan to size the model boat to suit the size of the model engine. A semi-diesel engine with something around a 6 inch (150mm) diameter flywheel would make for a good sized model tug boat.
So, if anyone can point me to suitable maringhot bulb engine plans - that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Roy
