my new Place
« on: September 03, 2016, 12:54:53 PM »
Hi Guys
I have not had much chance to get workshop time lately but thought I would share some pics of the new place I just bought.
Its secluded, peaceful and has a couple of really nice big Sheds.
I find myself wandering around the Dam looking for Wallaby, Deer and Koala before work in the mornings and I feel I'm starting to come to terms with my stress.
I have moved in and am nearly ready to start setting up my new Workshop.
Pete

Nice place with a nice future machine shop space.
The climate appears to be arid. What sort of temperatures do you have during the year?
I'll be looking forward to more pictures as you get your shop set up.

My neighbour has just built a shed similar to your last photo, he has a plumbing business, and I think an electrician is also working out from it, Ooh what I would give if I had a shed like that.  Only trouble is, I don't think anyone has ever built a big enough shed

Wow, that's a nice little shop!
You're going to have to buy some more equipment!  Your machines almost get lost in there!

I could figure out how to use that much space! Lets see, boats over there, lumber there, machines all round, workbenches, cookie storage, foundry....

Can you box up that building and send it over?!

Hi Guys
I still have the jig saw, dust extraction unit ,shelving, metal cutting jig saw and another bench to get from my old place but I recon I've broken the back of it.
So far everything is just dumped on the ground and I hope to start moving things into position during the week.
I really like being able to drive through the workshop and just swing my Ute Crane over, drop machinery off and then move it around latter with the floor Crane and plan to keep the drive through area clear but will still have lots of room for new Machines.
 COOL!
Pete

PS
I am never Ever moving again LOL
Can someone please tell me why my Icons don't work?
I don't enjoy posting as much without them.

Have you "upgraded" to Windows 10 ..?.. if so, the new Edge browser do not support emoticons => either "downgrade" to IE 11 or install another browser like Chrome, Firefox etc.

Yes I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 on it. Half as good, Twice the price.

Windows 10 is not all bad - there are some improvements, but there are some annoying drawbacks too. Edge is faster than IE, but this is because a lot of the functions in IE isn't supported in Edge, so it isn't "wasting power / speed" on those functions and emoticon is one of those functions. IE is installed on your new computer and you can tell Win 10 to use it instead of Edge. This improves some things and are annoying on others - so I can't tell you what will work the best for you. This is also the reason that I mentioned Chrome and Firefox - not really my cuppa either - but for those who like them, it solves their browser problem in Win 10.

On my main PC at home I had to "downgrade" back to Win 7 in order to run my most important CAD programs in sync (they do work on Win 10, but can't sync with each other) - all other computers I use run Win 10. This is a mixed blessing - the old irons run a lot faster on Win 10 than any previous system (great), but I'm annoyed that some very functions that I used are missing in action (upgrading).

I forgot to mention that I like your new surroundings very much - both outdoors and inside - congratulations.

Best wishes

Per
