Jo,

Sounds like between you and Eric everything will be sold before us mere mortals have a chance of getting there and looking around. :wallbang:

There are always bargains to be had. Last year I was picking up boxes of 10 carbide tips for £1 on the Sunday afternoon

Ah but I like to know what I'm getting, who really knows what's under that brown layer and as you that silvery lightweight metal it could be soft, gummy or could strike lucky and get a nice to machine bit ;)

The clue is the paint on the end  ;)

All the Ali came from the military aircraft manufacture sites we have closed that made supersonic planes and a couple of the F1 car manufacturers scrap bins  :mischief: I don't think either use soft/gummy Ali not even for their scrappy jigs :lolb: Best you play safe and stick with giving away your pension funds to the highest bidder  :old:

Jo before you took the photo you could have at least wiped up the drip marks on the wood where you have been salavating over those castings :ShakeHead:

And what about a nice photo of that new (to you) vice for Mike's sake :LittleDevil:

 I took it into the workshop and showed Tgs his pair of new machinist jacks and when I turned round I found he had put that vice in a safe place for me.

Its a bit of a scrum these days when new tools come into the workshop. It was so easy when all I had to worry about was the Workshop Gnome practising for the english cricket team.

Which Dave, no shortage of 'em on here ...  :headscratch:  Assuming me ...

Subaru is loaded with about 70% of a 1982 Moto Guzzi V50  ( 500cc V-twin, not a '25 pots a side jobby' ).
So much for 'the engine and a few other bits'  :facepalm2:

Judging by the tank & side panels I have it's probably one like this:
http://motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/classic_bikes/moto-guzzi-v50-III.jpg
Which is rather tasty n'est ce pas ???

Also a cantilever toolbox with redundant BSF/AF sockets, OE spanners & box spanners which I will try to foist upon you. ( cocoa-bean derived bribe is on offer ).
What's the state of the tide down there? Wellies or not? Been slinging it down here at times ..

Dave
