It will be good to see you Rod, but don't spend all your time looking at Locos now that you have the bug :disappointed:

I love the way you guys go about a show the way we do about our NAMES  and CF. Jason,  I know the Subby is nice and fresh,  but,  it sounds if you could make a few extra quid hauling folks thru the mud.  I don't blame them for roping off the tip and I don't even know what it is  :lolb: Y'all have fun and send me a souvenir  :mischief:

It's a good thought but the last time I went to pull someone out earlier this year I got the Landrover 110 that I was driving stuck too. Luckily I could get the Warn winch onto a tree and a Tirfor winch between me and the stuck Disco, did have to unhitch the portaloo trailer that the Disco was towing though.

I'm just not sure that the cricket stumps will be upto the job of anchoring the winch to and its a pain to set a ground anchor, I suppose Jo's stash of castings would give something solid to wich off if needed ;)

As for a souvenir, if I can get a photo of Jo covered in mud I'll send you a print for the inside of your work locker door ;)

Weather doesn't look too bad according to www.netweather.tv

My squeaky-clean Fozzy looks like remaining just that.

Went through a flood last Saturday, alloys came up a treat, all brake dust gone ..  :cartwheel:

Me too, please.

Sans mud is fine too.

Sounds like selling a few dirty muddy photos of Jo could be a better earner than pulling cars out of the mud

Just checking - officially open from 10 but if I pitch up earlier the boy and I should be able to wander round anyway? Just checking as we will have to leave around 12 to go somewhere else and a bit of extra time would be good.

Look out for a tall blonde man and a 5-year-old blonde lump of pure energy.

Yes, the gates are manned from 8am.

In the old days  :-X before I joined Guildford I was one of those who used to sneak in at 8:30 before the pay booths opened. But now I am a member I have to get there even earlier  :headscratch:

When I mentioned it at the rally meeting they knew all about it and yes I was not the only one: they already knew about lots of the "real model engineers" turning up before they manned the gates with the intent to be there as the traders finished setting up in order to bag the bargains ::)

So blame me for the gates charging from 8am in the morning (but at least at our show you don't have to wait 2 hours until all the exhibitors have been round and bagged all the bargains before you get a chance, unlike other shows I could mention :hellno:)

Jo

P.S. Saturday 8am I will be down there saying hello to Tony and the gang in the Traders field to make sure if any of their goodies has my name on them  :mischief:
