Now I've got me head wrapped around it :smokin2: For some reason I thought you were going the other direction. I made something similar for my RT wit a MT2 shank.

OK. Between yelling at the TV about the GT shunt, I'm rough turningthe spindle.       Setting up the fixed steady to bore one end.

Bored and reamed the internal    That's the back of the spindle.

Then put between center and finished the OD of the spindle.

Nailed the diameter....within about .0004"        Now we flip it, and put the front in the steady rest and grab the rear in the 4 jaw with some soft metal packing and cut the spindle nose 1 1/2 -8 thread and the 3C collet internal.   Then I'll set up and put the anti rotation pin in and be done.

Maybe Im just out of practice, but it took an hour to get that shaft to not runout at the chuck and not crank at the far end.....PITA!....but it's done....on with the machining of the front!

While I make some lunch, I ordered up a 12" long piece of 3/4" OD x .120" wall DOM tubing for the draw bar.    No need to hog out solid stock for this even if it is short.

Ill need a knob on the end, so I figured I'd copy the ER32 collet chuck nut dimensions so I don't need anther wrench.

Major work being planed to clean and reshuffle the shop this week too...

Wellll runout it's awesome.....the thread didn't come out so nice, but it works just fine and the chuck register is perfect so I'm leaving it be

...needs to have the index barrel pinned on and the collet pin put in and a draw bar made
