Hello Chris,

Today I was able to talk to Torsten Schürr about the saw machine.
He once sold a set of cast parts here in Germany. His machine works with a rod and stops. He has also given up trying with the original twisted rod. He doesn't know anyone who has done it either.

Maybe it is an incentive for you and you will be the first!

Michael, thanks for asking him. I'm thinking of going the same route, the twisted rod is just too twitchy at this size, the rod and stop version should be a lot easier.
