Hi All
I am JR72, a retired electrical contractor in the south of England, I began model engineering some 10 years ago after a spell restoring British motorcycles, giving that up as I wasn't getting younger and the roads were getting fuller. Years ago whilst doing my apprenticeship I had times when I needed to use a lathe, most of the workshops had a myford ML7. I really got to enjoy the odd bit of turning though nothing too complicated. Well many years later I was offered a Myford Super 7 that the owner was having difficulty in using with failing eye sight. There were loads of drills and taps and turning tools etc etc that came with the lathe, and with adding to my equipment I have built up a reasonable although small workshop. I have made 2 Stuart models and beam engine and am currently building a Kiwi mk2.I will post phots of models and workshop when I find my way around the forum which I am not familiar with yet except to say it looks great. Bye for now JR72

Hi JR72 and welcome to the group. A Kiwi builder. That's great. I've got one.  Can we see some photos?

Hi Vince
Sorry to be so late in replying, Being new to the forum I have only just found your reply to mine.
I have downloaded a lot of your photos on your Kiwi build and have found them very useful, so thanks for that. I have fortunately taken quite a few pics of mine which I will of course be posting. I am currently tackling the cylinder head the casting of which to my novice mind leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully we can keep in touch.
Regards
John
