I have some quick questions on your engine. I have the 1999 Live Steam articles, but it leaves out the dimensions for the piston. Diameter is easy, but the thickness could be either 0.5' or 0.55". Can you tell me which it is? I like your crank counterweight mods. I was thinking of cnc-ing several of the parts and making two engines concurrently and then marrying them on a common crank clocking them 90 degrees to make the engine self-starting. Do you see any reason why this might not work?

Great build log Brian.  Just went through it from the beginning.

Great finishes and the engine runs like clockwork.

Hi,
Sorry I did not see your post earlier. The piston is .500 thick. Don't know what to say about the double engine setup.
