As its current owner proved that he did not know how to drive the Newall DRO without referring to the manual
so I felt it was my duty to relieve him of that so that he can buy his latest acquisition a graphical system.
The new machine is three phase
so I had to run a new cable. Those of you who were following along last year may recall that I installed a
Workshop Gnome home 3 ph distribution and breaker box with six outlets, one of which was spare
This has now had a five core cable run from it to the new socket on the wall.
I know I keep repeating it but 3 ph is very dangerous. So the wiring was done by first disconnecting my rotary converter from the wall (it has a plug and skt to do this). Then starting at the socket wiring that up and checking it was all ok before opening up and connecting to the distribution box. Where ever a cable goes into something it has a gland securing the cable to the plug/socket/frame of the distribution box so that if the cable is pulled the force does not go on the terminals
You can also see there is a nice new tail waiting for my new bit of machine but it is not going into that socket before the machine is on the other end.
Back to tidying the workshop
