Give them a chance, our friends accross the pond have only just got out of bed. Or they may just be overcome by the shear number of engines to guess.

Oooh Jason!!

A little harsh on the foundry.......

Being a " one man band " I personally saw to all aspects, those points you made possibly applicable to some of the " back yard " stuff out there.   ;)

Miss aligned or wonky cored castings were left behind. No fettling whatsoever. I used the services of two of the best Iron foundries in North Wales, funnily enough so did Stuart models!  ;)

I have got less than 5 returned castings here due to blows, not a bad record considering the total quantity of castings I sold.

Kind regards, Graham.

It might put too many people off casting sets or is that what you are hoping for a drop in the global price so you can pick up a few more bargains

And some of us have to work for a living

I'm playing "name my casting set" and of course I  castings.

It is Jason who tells tales of woe about them and how he will never touch another set.... just before buying more to make model engines out of   :LittleDevil:

Yes indeed, I had noticed !! More than a lifetime's worth for some but at least you're working on them. I've seen so many of mine come up on ebay because the purchaser ran out of time.

Do you have, or have you built any of my range?

Kind regards, Graham.

Hi Jo,

I've just had an(envious) scan through your casting set pics & think I may have recognised a set for Len Mason's 4 cyl Mastiff amongst them? (castings.25)

Martin.

I know a few from earlier discussions and the Otto was fairly obvious due to the descriptive label  ::)
Best regards

Roger
