Yep agree the air comes out no problem, the issue is it comes out when the valve is shut, and there is little or no adjustment!
The picture of my units, with the air plugged into the tubing push fitting, as you would think would be the air inlet, there is no control. IF you remove the valve & put the air in the threaded side then you get controlled air flowing OUT of the tube fitting from nothing to full flow!
When I googled these valves that's when I found that there are two types, as fitted to mine, with OUT on the knob, and the other which has IN. The info on them says that the OUT type controls the air flow out the tube fitting, the IN type controls the air flow out the threaded side.
Oh I checked out other sellers, surprising how similar the photos are, most appear to have used the same valve, sounds like you got the right valves on yours.

Agree that it's not like Bogs version, but if it
me enough I'll build the Bogs end fitting or a fog buster version, thanks for the link.
