That's a beauty Stan...what a nice addition!!  Thanks for posting the picture! It's amazing how nice quality tools just feel holding them , much more when using them as intended. I'm sure that little gem will find lots of uses.

Thanks Bill. Per Bobsmodels recommendation, I'm replacing drills as needed with PTD (Precision Twist Drill).
What a difference a good drill makes.
Best,
Stan

Vern, the Triumph edition of PTD is awesome dude  :lolb: Just saying 8). Noticed the Shars,  I'm assuming,  R8 end mill holder; had any problems with them? I just use a collet with mine.  Still need an arbor for that 2.5" GMT face mill and I'm assuming they are a bit cheaper than Glacern.

 Have you thought of which brand of drills you are planning to use with that? You are going to need some very good quality ones to be able to benefit from the chuck's accuracy.

Jo
Drills down to #80 are in hand, thank you , and are high quality US made. I find that if the hole is nicely spotted, the drills follow like little sheep, all the way home. So, I bought a high quality set of center drills from #1/0 down to #5/0, Keo brand.
Stan yes thanks, love to borrow the wedges, but do they fit a JT0 shank, or larger shanks. That tiny shank is barely 3/16" in the groove.

Stan,
15 minutes on the mill and I have a JT0 chuck removal wedge. One .25" slot and a bevel and we're done.
Chuck popped off the arbor easily.
Thanks, anyway.

The R8 holder is an eBay buy.

I have the Shars shank on the 4" Glacern face mill.
Just fine. No complaints
Best,
Stan
