New member from Norway

Hello, Anders here.
I am a 31 year old aircraft engine mechanic working on the Norwegian airforce planes.
I am very interested in everything with wings, full size and models. I have an expired commercial pilot lisence, fly model gliders and work on fighter engines, so it is a big part of my life.

I have a two year old daughter and another one coming this summer, so not a lot of time on my hands, but some here and there.

I kind in a small appartment, so no machine tools, just a cordless still and some hand tools. But I tend to get things done with what I have.

I have always wanted to build my own steam engine, so that is why I am on the forum.

You can do a lot with quite simple tools. it is interesting to read about some of the past model engineers such as Henry Greenly where it was considered quite normal to build your own simple lathe

Welcome aboard! I shouldn't be awake right now but couldn't sleep. I have always had a fascination with any piston aircraft. I am sure you can find some recommendation for a steam engine here.
