"Hola" form Spain
« on: January 06, 2016, 11:30:26 PM »
Hi all

Just a brief introduction, I am a retired Caterpillar technician currently living in Spain. Since my retirement 11 years ago I keep myself busy building model trucks and steam engines. Due to very poor eyesight I ended up using technology to help in manufacture of parts, this led to building a CNC router and later buying a local version of a 7 x 12 lathe and later a Weiss WMD30LV milling machine. I also delve/play around with electronics and computers.  One of my biggest difficulties here is to get tooling and raw material and normally end up ordering from across the channel/U.K. I have learn a lot from this (and other) forums and appreciate the opportunity these bring to all.

I have a few posts on Madmodder, if allowed my most recent engine build log can be found here http://madmodder.net/index.php/topic,10299.0.html

Cheers.
Abraham

Welcome to the forum Abraham! There are a bunch of great folks here ranging from hither to yon experience wise and we all
love to share and learn.

Maybe you can post some pics of your work when you get a chance?

My Dad put most of his life in working on Cat equipment and so I grew up with big screaming yellow iron. I love 'em!
