I had the Shay on display (running on air for the show) last weekend at a local train show, along with running my gauge 1 steamer on a portable track with our live steam club. My voice is mostly back after blowing it out from talking with people all weekend. Surprised a bunch of professional machinists when they found out that I had been a software engineer by trade! Several went and bought Kozo's books, wish I had a rack of them to sell... The show was a big one, filled the indoor track building at the local college (RIT). There were tracks set up from lots of clubs, everything from T, Z,N gauges all the way to G scale with an 80 foot or so modular layout (only about 20% of what they could have brought). Good turnout, over 3000 for the weekend.
