Zee, the hole is a sight, to see the drips of oil. It can then be adjusted with the needle valve to provide a steady drip of oil.

It's interesting that there is very little visible movement of the inlet valve on a 'hit' but you can see significant activity in the vapour carb. I see you are using a CDI ignition module, but I guess that at the speed this engine runs the automatic advance does not come into play.

Roger, the automatic advance with the CDI module is no problem, as the engine is running only at one speed.
