Where's the beep
« on: December 20, 2015, 09:56:07 AM »
One of my DRO's has taken to not beeping when I press the keys  :( I know it is one of the set up parameters to make it beep but twice now I have had to go in and remind it to beep  :headscratch:

Other than not beeping everything else seems to work  :). Does anyone know if the displays units have some sort of battery backup? This M-DRO display is now  :o 9 years old.

Just checked my M-DRO display manual (as you probably did).  No circuit diagram or mention of a back up battery so a call to Allendale would seem the quick way to find out.  Does the display unit hold settings while switched off?

Can't see anything in my manual about having a bleep and I never knew it was possible. Mine does keep its settings while switched off from the back of the display but not sure if the mains are turned off. I did keep my settings when I redid the workshop so must have some form of memory.

Are you sure you did not use up all the bleeps when those crankshafts failed :cussing:
