Hi Chris, Mike still has the castings and materials for his engine ;)

As you can see my supplier came up with the basic crankcase and was threatening to have some cast but don't hold your breath  ::).

Hello Chris,

As Jo said, I still have a complete un-started kit for the Green G30 Single Cylinder Sleeve Valve engine.

The kit consists of a set of drawings (dimensions in inches), instructions, all the aluminium, steel and cast iron stock materials required. There is also material for two machining jigs, gear wheels, bearings and a ready made carburetor. The kit has been re boxed, the complete kit weighs several kilos.

I am open to offers, so if you are interested send me a PM rather than the open forum.

Mike

Jo - I thought that your fondling of a set of castings meant that you were very much on the case and had scooped the kit, sorry.

Bill - I might well do a build log, I have thought about it, but I will get further down the track first.  My work is so slow everyone will loose interest if I start a log now!  But it is an interesting engine and different to the rocker operated valves engines.

Mike - I was just interested if you had disposed of the kit and, following on from that, wether anyone else was building the engine.  But I will pm you anyway.

Chris

:stickpoke: I know it is difficult to believe but there are more important things in life than castings that one remains hopeful for.

Thanks Mike, Did you notice how it took two years to acquire these castings after my supplier wafted them under my nose  :stickpoke:

In the mean time can you guess how many engines he has built  ::) I'll give you a clue I have brought more sets of castings from him than he has built and he has brought more sets than he has built as well.

Jo

So the answer could be anything upto 999 :LittleDevil: To be fair to Eric there are a lot more parts to complete on that Loco he is doing than a 5min job on an aero engine ;)

Now, Now Mike, you know me and Jo have a different idea of what "built" means :mischief:
