This is my first double acting engine. It pushed my meager skills to the limit. After machining, It fought me for a couple of months but I finally got it running.

Please excuse the video quality. It's pouring outside so I didn't open the garage for light.

Well done.  Looks great and runs nicely.  Be proud.

This was about the third engine I built, some 35 years ago.  At the time I couldn't understand how one could reverse a steam engine and when that worked I was over the moon because the light came on in my head.  I can also remember puzzling for ages over the floating valve and what prevented it from unsealing from the valve plate.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Regards, Marv

Thanks Marv. Now all I have to do is make your rounding over fixture and it's on to my next engine.

She's a great little mover, Tony. You must feel very happy, 2 in one day. I'm sure I can hear more than a gentle patter of rain outside. Cheers, Hugh.

Hi Tony,
Just want to tell you how much I appreciated your posting of this build.  Your photos are invaluable as I begin the same engine.  Thank you very, very much.
