I like that, not so sure about the carpet!

Is it a freelance design?

Hi Jason.

The Penultimate was my first design, look at my avatar, engine number 103.

The engine in the video was built by Dave Lister if my memory is correct. He used the Sphinx/Robinson " Star " wheel as a diversion.

We sold a very small number of them, very early on.

Cheers Graham.

Ray- yes it was you I saw sat on the chair, I heard you talking about your half horse stuart and it wasn't until I was driving home that I remembered you had one and that it was you.

Jason- the new toys coming home sounds great!!!! Do you have a video of the vertical yet?

A few photos for you all to enjoy. I am sure Graham might wish to comment on one or two of them. There are quite a few so I will post them in several batches.
I am just processing the video at the moment and will add a clip shortly.

Hi Ray.

Many thanks for the photographs. Vincent’s Crossley trio, two finished and one under construction were started over 10 years ago.

His half scale Petter “ M “ two stroke was all in Aluminium except for a glued in cast Iron cylinder liner. He made all the patterns and castings himself using a wood fired furnace.

It’s amazing that a horticulturist and amazing flower arranger was so adept at mechanical engineering.

Great to meet you and please check tomorrow’s post....  ;)

Cheers Graham.

Thanks Graham. Decided to repair Otto crank a different way in the end as the  joint was so contaminated with oil that solder probably wouldn't have worked - see my Otto thread - but I will soon have a Robinson crank to make, won't I?

Feel free to skip about a bit, and for Jason a rather pernickety Penultimate finally gave in to it's creator !!   ;)

Cheers Graham.
