Would make a nice model
« on: September 10, 2015, 08:28:48 PM »
Just saw this engine on station road steam, it would make a nice model at 1/2 or 1/3rd scale. Any takers?

You could buy it and draw up some plans.   :mischief:

Beautiful engine Jason. I would come snap it up but a bit too far to swim over to get it  :) Though there are obvious differences it still reminds me somewhat of the popcorn engine just double cylinders. Maybe its the graceful curves of the flywheel.

Good looking engine indeed curious though, is the layout of the crankshaft. Looks to be at 90 degrees, not 180. I haven't noticed this arrangement on other twins.

No need to buy it, the flywheel size is known so the rest can be scaled from that.

Funny enough I have had a few photos of a similar style twins stored in my "future projects" folder.

I also have most of a single drawn up from an etching that was in a very early ME, would be easy enough to mirror.
