A couple of good Engineering Utilities downloads
« on: August 16, 2012, 04:55:18 PM »
In my quick and dirty sine bar setting post I mentioned a program that I used, and a couple of people have already downloaded it.

These sorts of programs do really help when you get stuck trying to work things out for a machining process, especially when making gears etc.

Here is the link to that download.

PLUS, here is another one that I have sitting on my desktop

But do read the install instructions on the page that this download comes from.

Both these Engineering Utilities are well worth downloading and using.

Thanks for those John

Kind regards, Arnold
Building an engine takes Patience, Planning, Preparation and Machining.
Procrastination is nearly the same, but it precludes machining.
Thus, an engine will only be built once the procrastination stops and the machining begins!

Thank you. These will be useful.

I have played with shopCalc. It works fine on my laptop except for "make metric the default" which causes it to hang.
