Ballenberg Open Air Museum
« on: August 23, 2015, 06:24:36 PM »
My wife and I went to visit the Ballenberg Open Air Museum in Switzerland today. It is a collection of old buildings gathered from around Switzerland.

There was a 19th Century water powered sawmill and a 19th Century bone meal crusher. They run both at certain times, but unfortunately not when we could watch. The video clip is of the drive gears under the sawmill (taken through the mesh guarding  ;) )

Best regards

Thanks Roger. That sure is a pretty piece of timber they are sawing!! I don't see a knot or imperfection anywhere in it. Too bad the exhibits weren't running during your visit, but still nice to see.
