The first day of the Bristol Show was very busy with a large appreciative crowd of visitors.
There were a large number of I/C engines on display at this years show.
On the Internal Combustion Engine Builders Group stand were many brilliant examples of the Model Engine Makers art
This was eye candy at it's sweetest.
This delightful 1/4 scale Gnome rotary engine was built by Mike Cole
Mike Cole also built this three cylinder 1/4 scale Anzani radial engine
This 1/4 scale DH Gypsy was also the work of Mike Cole
Mike Coles fourth model was this magnificent 1/4 scale Bentley BR2 rotary engine
This flat four aero engine is based on the VW Beetle engine. It was built by Brian Perkins
Brian Perkins was also showing progress on his Mercedes W165 GP engine

The crankcase of Mike's 1/3 scale Mercedes engine is nearing completion. The crankcase was milled from a solid billet of HE30

The star of the show was without doubt the superb 1/3 scale 4.5 Litre Blower Bentley being painstakingly built by Mike Sayers

The Bentley radiator shell was hand beaten in nickel silver by Mike Sayers. And that Bentley emblem is beyond words
Tom Pasco designed and built this supercharged two stroke V twin. The design is based on one section of the Rolls Royce Crecy V12 two stroke aero engine.
Another of Tom Pascoe's incredible engine collection is this 25cc opposed piston engine
Tom Pascoe obviously prefers unusual engines. This is a rotary valve V twin engine
This freelance V twin was a noisy runner and always attracted a large crowd
Stephen Wessel is the builder of this magnificent 1/3 scale model of the Armstrong Siddeley Lynx Radial engine
I think you will all agree that this display of engines will be a hard act to follow.
