Jones & Shipman Boring head

I'm being offered a Jones & Shipman boring head (1.75", 2MT, model 2344-020, takes 3/8" bars) looking very clean and tidy in its wooden box. For once Mr google doesn't seem to know anything about it - does anyone have an info on them? are they any good?
