A gadget to set workpiece verticle in vice
« on: June 25, 2015, 04:35:50 PM »
You often have to set a small item vertical in the vice for milling and drilling and I found this method after I had made a vice stop, my vice is too small to use a normal try square,  it seemed I just had to press the work piece up to it with a squared off piece of angle  which would sit on the vice jaws.

Hi Geoff,

Set squares come in all shapes and sizes, the really small ones can be hard to come by but the ones with adjustable blades can be useful for getting in tight places.

Thanks Geoff and Jo.  A couple more "obvious" solutions to a problem which I had not figured out - yet  :-[
