Having made my own using photos of the original I did scribble them down but I think I might have let Roger have them with the Lathe  :headscratch:

I just found a scanning of my CoC drawing of it.

The slow speed attachment uses a 6mm wide belt

Once again Jo, thank you so much, some of the dimensions are not very clear on the drawing. The overall size of the three stage pully I cant see, so i hope you don't mind me coming back to you?

Peter: Try opening the jpeg rather than viewing it on the forum.

I do not own the Hobbymat any longer: I sold it to Roger. Hopefully he should be able to tell you the size of the belts. I brought them from Essel Engineering who made the slow speed attachment originally.

Hello Peter, as Jo says I have the lathe and will happily take measurements and photos for you. I will see what the belt details are this evening.
Best regards

Hello Peter,

I have attached some more pictures. The two larger pulleys on the three step pulley are identical to the original one. The small pulley for the low speed attachment is machined on what I assume was the original boss.

The marking on the installed belt is on one of the pictures. I have another reference as a "Slow Speed Belt 6 x 335" which seems to match.

I have used the slow speed attachment a couple of times. For turning a 125mm (5") flywheel it was good. For screw cutting the run on is difficult/frightening. For a short thread I pressed stop as soon as the cut started and the inertia finished the cut  ::)

I am happy to answer any questions, take more pictures, measure things.
Best regards

Roger

Hi Roger, I will work out what Information I need & may have to come back to you. I will order the material in the morning, the 150 x 40 plate that Jo has drawn has a hole 35mm up & 10mm in, the drawing says it is a 10mm hole, is this correct as it looks very small against the other holes??. The shaft drawn on the left of the drawing, could you let me know what it is as there is no information on this item.

Thank you Roger & Jo who has been so much help to me,

Peter

Hi Peter,

The shaft on the left is the shaft for the bottom pulley. The hole in the plate is the fixing hole for this shaft so 10mm should be correct. The dimensions of these parts could be changed to use whatever bearings you may already have.
Best regards

Roger
