Thanks for those Stan, nice to see some of the trade stands too.

Just need to work on Jo a bit more to get her liking the brown stuff and maybe she will make a boat like that for one of her engines :LittleDevil:

Well Stan I'm glad you made it home safely. I was sitting in my truck watching the compressor as you went by on your way out! See you next year.

I'd seen Lou Chenot's Duesenberg and this is every bit as spectacular.
The detailing is superb. Lou was explaining how he machined the camshaft. He made a (4 or 8x) wooden pattern and various gearmotors and a tracer linkage to the Bridgeport quill handle.
Best,
Stan

This was my first NAMES show and will now be an annual event for me.
Best,

More great pictures Stan. The runabout is exceptional but so is that enormous Case traction engine!!  Glad you made it home safe.

It was a great show as usual and I had fun being an exhibitor for the first time. It was good to meet several MEM people, and especially the guys I hung out with at our tables: gldavison, ArtK, and sshire. Hey guys.

It was a great show as always! Enjoyed talking to all my friends and making a few new ones. Missed seeing you at the show George. Hope you had a great birthday! Thanks to all that put the show together. That is a lot of blood, sweat and tears! The atmosphere was very friendly and everyone had a good time.

Just a note for everyone. As you are walking around and overwhelmed by the sites and sounds make sure to keep track of the stuff you are carrying.
I was able to return a small stainless valve that someone had left at my table while they were looking at the Holt. Someone else left some plans from  another vendor. I am going to try an find the owner but may not be able to. The plans aren't that big of a deal but I know I would personally hate to lose something like that valve.

I will try to get some pictures up soon. Didn't get many but my friend Suzann did take some.

Hi Doug,
The valve belongs to the fellow with the handle Capn John. He is out of Hisperia, Mich. and posted a request for the valve on Smokstak.

Great pictures Stan,
I'm really sorry I couldn't make it this year but I had a great 'surprise' birthday party. Hopefully next year I'll have the flathead sorted out and running for the show.

I can say that the valve was found after he called one of the directors, despite the fact the Holt was moved from where CJ said it was and to tell you the truth the valve was so small that it could have ended up on the bottom of some ones size 14"s. Always remember that opening your purchases in show can be a disaster. Plus for the new people with the button you have you may make as many trips to your car as your wallet will allow, along with food and liquid refreshment runs not to mention you also may come bacon Sunday at additional charge.

Here is another stack. There are a couple fuzzy ones but most are pretty good.

More great pictures Steve. Many thanks for taking the time to take and post them. Between you and Stan I feel like I was almost there.
