Bill,

This engine is just drop dead gorgeous!   :praise2: I really like all the detail work and painting you've done. Looking forward to the flywheel build.

This thread is one of my "go to" threads that I look at a lot........... getting ideas.

Thanks Jim. The flywheel will definitely proceed during this week and I hope to get it finished up over the holiday weekend (next weekend).

Thanks Chris, I am yes, and after finding yesterdays problem I think things are now free enough that it will run. The power piston is sealing well enough that I can feel the vacuum and pressure when turning it over by hand which is also a good sign.

Professor, she is a beauty. The contouring and color accents make it very elegant  . And I do agree, we need pics of something burning on the grill, boiling in a pot, or something :lolb:

Nice one Bill. The striking thing for me is...rats...problem is I don't know what it's called.
The big part in the middle, between the cylinders, with the two circular thingies, and the oil cup on top.
Man, that's a sad description. Apologies.

Very cool.

I think it's called the bearing support bracket, but am not looking at the plans at the moment. I knew what you neant so that's what counts. Sorry there hasn't been more progress, first summer session will be over Wednesday, that should help some with shop time on both builds.

What, you don't get summers off!

That's just not right.

No no. Is a good thing. He has no excuse for lack of progress.  ;D

Hm. Now I realize, when I retire, I'll have no excuse either.

Thanks Dave and Achim. Zee probably has it right, not much of an excuse but that's my story and I'm sticking to it :) More to follow soon I promise.
