Thanks for the detailed explanation of the change (back) to the original location. I went to a "Gourd Craft Show" there last year with my friend who is into gourds or maybe "out of her gourd", and it was not a bad drive from Hagerstown, where we were staying at the KOA, and it's probably about the same, or less, from Baltimore. I don't recall how large the place was, and although it seemed small, it was probably just one of many rooms and buildings. So we'll just hope for good weather and look forward to meeting again only 9 months from this one coming up. Here is a rough video of the gourd expo and some of the scenery on the ride back:

I also found their website and schedule of events:

And directions:

Jared, many thanks for your dedication to the show and for taking the time to explain what went in to this decision. Things change for all of us at times, and while the January dates (which I have also attended previously) aren't great for me at the moment, I also wish the show to continue and it gives me one more reason to look forward to in retirement when travel dates aren't a personal constraint due to the day job !!

I am looking forward to a great show as always this year!!

Bill

I just checked in to the Best Western Westgate and I suspect Stan is here already. There are a couple of dinner places right here in the area.

There used to be a good bean and BBQ trailer in the campground, but,  it's closed this year   :cussing:.  Y'all have fun and I'm waiting for the crew to install the live feed equipment  :lolb:..

The campground was empty when I went by Cletus. We're gonna miss the BBQ & beans this year...and of course you and Lou and DOG too :)  Give him an ear scratch for me. Hopefully there will be pictures posted by tomorrow night if not sooner. Not sure if they have wifi over at the arena or not

Went by the arena  and saw where ME had table  space reserved.  Good spot for keeping track of the auction .

I'll be over in the am to set up.

Just got back from dinner (and a lengthy cocktail, hour) with Bill Lindsey, Dave Reeves and Maury (Lone Star Engine Works).
We've staggered across the parking lot and are ready to hit the bed.

A few pix from today as folks began to bring auction items.

As Eric Said; "Y'all have fun", and I too am waiting for the pictures and updates.

Tell Maury that I said Hey!
