Cabin Fever 6 weeks out
« on: March 03, 2015, 03:07:26 AM »
Okay. Who's  coming with engines so I know how much table space to reserve?
As usual, I'll be there early on Friday to grab a good section of tables for MEM.
Best,
Stan

Stan-

I plan on coming for Saturday only.  I could display "Teeny Tiny" and my Poppin.  If I get sometime, I want to try and have the real small one done for C.F.   I don't need much space.

I'll be at the Rough & Tumble gang, but I can't wait to see what you guys from MEM bring.

6 x 7 x 24 x 60 x 60 = 3,628,800 s, but hey, who's counting? :headscratch:

Cheers,
Phil

I plan to get there around noon and I hope to bring:

1. My wobbler air engine that is our shop project

2. A transistor ignition controller and tachometer (TigTac)

3. A low temperature differential Stirling engine kit (hopefully assembled and running)

4. Possibly a small switched reluctance motor (SRM)

Table space about 2 ft x 2 ft should be sufficient. But I may also need space for a laptop computer if I implement the Bluetooth interface, although it might also work with a tablet. I have an Archos 7" that could be used instead.

I hope we can go to the Wild Rose for dinner afterward, although we'll probably have to wait two hours like we did last year. It's a nice place, but perhaps we could search for something with more room and less crowded.

On April 16 I'm scheduled for cervical spine surgery on my neck, so this will be my last outing for a while.

I'll be there on Saturday. No engines.
Haven't decided if I'll stay until Sunday.
Very much looking forward to seeing everyone.

Best wishes on the surgery Paul.

I'll be there Friday around noon. Staying till Sunday noon. I will need about 6 feet of space if that's doable.
Thanks,
George D. Britnell

I will be arriving on Thursday afternoon/evening Stan so I can help you Friday morning. I should need about 4' if possible for the Briggs, RE, PMR1, and Rudy's half scale radial.

Good start.
I've got the MEM banner out of storage and a stack of "Reserved for" signs waiting to be filled in.
Best,
Stan

Anyone else coming in on Thursday?  Maybe we can get together for an informal dinner Thursday evening.

I plan to arrive Thursday.  If I get the Muncaster engine running on air by then I'll bring it.  It would take 2' of space.  I should know within a week if it runs, as I have only the pistons to fabricate before assembling for a trial run.  I'll be there through Sunday.

I plan to get there Thursday late afternoon. I like to get in and buy my button so I  don't have to wait in line on Friday Morning. I will bring my ROV and hope to get it in the water. It wont be able to submerge but at least I can see it move.

I will stay through Sunday, then head toward Detroit for NAMES the next weekend. I will be stopping to see Grizzly, the DeBence Museum of Mechanical Music, and maybe another day at the Henry Ford museum. Its going to be a nice 2,000 mile road trip!

I'm in for Thursday nite informal dinner. Although, as I recall,  Bill, Steamer and I spent more time in the bar than at dinner.
