It was old after the first 4 feet!
Can someone remind me why we love this area so much?

Ah, if it were only that simple.

I feel bad for you Dave.  I don't envy you one bit.  Snow just plain sucks the older you get.  I've really come to hate it.

Spring's coming.

As someone who spent the first seven years of my life in Germany I still can't see the thrill of snow. It was cold and slippery and when it melted it caused minor flooding around the house so you are more than welcome to it. The closest I get to snow nowadays is when the temp gets down to -2 or -3C overnight but then I'm next to a warm body and in bed  Though some winter days have struggled to top 12C.
All yours fellas and you may keep it.

I've been in Phoenix since Saturday Dave ...80 degrees and clear blue skies. Only downside is I'm at the airport waiting on a red eye back to Charlotte.

:-[ Our local garden centre which sold the peanuts( for an ever increasing price  :() closed down last year and I have not yet found anyone who stocks then in the quantity I want to buy (20Kg rather than 400g  :headscratch: )

The birds now have to live on all the house scraps and I have a friendly grey hooded crow who, given half a chance, will clear the feeders as soon as I put anything out  :censored:

Sorry Jo, but that hardly qualifies as a heavy frost.

I know it is a bunch for you folks over there tho ... I'll bet the roads were almost closed with that.

I went into the back yard yesterday to check on an obvious ice dam.    took me 20 minutes to get out there!   Snow is up to nearly my chest...I'm 5' 11....

Yea...I couldn't do anything about it even if I tried!    Just can't get to anything in the back yard.....It's exhausting!

Sorry Jo....I wouldn't even get the shovel out for that....probably just leave it to melt.....
